The La Trobe Journal No 90 December 2012
This issue of the La Trobe Journal opens with an inspired example of detective work, revealing that the famed 'Lazarus diary' acquired by the Library in 2006 is not in fact by Samuel Lazarus at all but by Charles Evans.
The other 10 articles cover the career of cityscape painter George Hyde Pownall, designs for the 'Doll Theatre Project', stained glass in Victoria, lithographic printing in Melbourne, the golden age of Antarctic exploration, stories of Chinese emigrants to Australia, The Melbourne Centenary Music Book, and the 13th-century Codex Sancti Paschalis.
