As part of the Victorian Challenge and Enrichment Series the following free programs are available to high-ability students and classes in Victorian schools.

Extend your students' critical thinking, creativity, and research skills in these workshops, which are available both online and onsite at the Library. Learn more below.

Primary Research Skills 

This fun workshop combines humour, surprise and practical tips to help students become successful researchers.

Research Fundamentals 

In this interactive session we’ll share practical strategies to motivate middle-years students to be more discerning with information they find online.

VCE Research Skills

This intensive workshop introduces students to practical research strategies and tools vital to success in senior secondary school and beyond.

LEGO® Robotics School Holiday Program

High-ability sudents from government schools are invited to book into our free school holiday LEGO® workshops funded by the Victorian Challenge and Enrichment Series. 

In these workshops, primary school students (ages 5 to 8) with a passion for LEGO® brick building will create and code a LEGO® brick robot while learning about the Library’s collection items. 

The LEGO® Robotics program is only available onsite at State Library Victoria.
