Celebrate the 21st Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge at State Library Victoria as you reimagine beloved fairytales and classic stories at a Writing Workshop.
Children and carers are invited to take well-known tales, play with the story elements and make them their own. Together, they will make their very own story zine.
Workshop 5–8 years (7th and 14th April):
What would happen if Goldilocks didn't visit three little bears, but instead a kangaroo, a cheetah and a marmoset? What happens to a story if you change the characters or setting? Why not have a try!
Workshop 9–12 years (9th and 16th April):
Ever read a story ending you didn't like? What if you could change it? Learn the art of an unforgettable closing chapter and how you can finish with a laugh, a cry or a twist!
Please note: a parent or carer must attend this event for the entire duration with their child/children.
This event is funded by the Department of Education Victoria to celebrate the 21st Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge. To join the challenge click here.
