Imagine a world filled with mammoth megafauna, mythical creatures, mysterious powers and fantastical places.
Welcome to Wylah the Koorie Warrior – a thrilling historical fantasy 40,000 years in the making. The best-selling book series inspired by First Nations culture is an adventure ride on an epic scale, with giant animal guardians, invading dragons and magical totems.
Now it’s your turn to join the fun! Wylah the Koorie Warrior co-author and illustrator Richard Pritchard has created creature templates for you to design and build your own megabeast.
In this hands-on session for curious and crafty kids, you’ll assemble your creature’s parts, give it a name and a superpower, and have it live in Wylah’s world – on display in the Library for all to see.
Suitable for children aged 5-12 years, and their families.
Sessions are running 3-5pm on 11 October - 7 December, Saturdays and Sundays.
No bookings required.
