Eat, sleep, build, and repeat!
This summer, we’ve teamed up with Brickman to create State Library Bricktoria!
Join us for a whole series of events celebrating the LEGO® brick. Go on a treasure hunt across the Library to find all the pieces you need to make our very own Library build. Help us build two giant mystery mosaics and watch as Brickman’s team take on the challenge of building State Library Victoria out of LEGO® bricks.
You’ll also get to meet Brickman – the only LEGO® Certified Professional in the Southern Hemisphere.
But the fun isn’t just for the kids. Young at heart fans can get involved with our Bricks & beats with the Brickman party.
From first-time brick builders to long-time creators, there’s something for everyone at the Library this summer. Grab your tickets now before they sell out.
Building State Library Bricktoria
Tune in via timelapse as Brickman's team creates a Lego recreation of the iconic State Library Victoria building.
State Library Bricktoria: marginalia mystery mosaic
Join us as we transform a beautiful image from the Library’s manuscript collection into a LEGO® brick mosaic.

Join us for an adults-only brick building extravaganza!

Watch the live-action as these practitioners’ piece together the intricate details of the Library.
Please note: the finished model will be on display from Monday 24 January to Sunday 6 February.
