Gain expert insight into the behind-the-scenes work that goes into developing an exhibition at State Library Victoria. In these curator-guided tours, students will explore the exhibition, gain a first-hand perspective on the curating methods used and the stories and themes that lie at the heart of Library exhibitions and collections.
Students will:
- Understand the work of curators
- Explore themes, issues and stories presented in the exhibition
- View treasures from State Library Victoria’s Collection
This tour is suitable for students in Years 7-12 seeking an in-depth look at one of the Library exhibitions. This tour can be tailored to address the VCE Art Making Exhibiting curriculum.

The booking process

Size of booking: Curator tours have a capacity of 25 students per group.

Funding opportunity for low-ICSEA schools
Schools with an ICSEA ranking below 1000 may be eligible for our Access Education Funding to support the cost of attending a facilitated program at State Library Victoria.
