Members preview: a new Library podcast is coming

This just in: the Library is launching a brand new podcast this winter!

Though we're keeping that exciting news on a need-to-know basis for now, we couldn't resist sharing a sneak peek with our members.

In six episodes over June and July, we'll be exploring some of the most requested stories which live deep within our vast collection in a new, free format.

We'll explore the true stories of some of Victoria's most compelling characters throughout history, told by our expert librarians who spend their days delving into our past. If you're an avid reader of the SLV Blog, you might already be familiar with some of the names featuring in this first season.

You can look forward to getting to know people such as the founder of Victoria's first all-female motor garage, a pioneer in how homeless people are viewed (and the services provided to them), the first known woman to vote in an Australian election, and one of the country's last famous bareknuckle fighters.

Every episode has been recorded in the Library's Podcast Studio, which is free for all members to use.

The episodes will be released weekly on Spotify and Apple Podcasts, among other platforms. You can't subscribe just yet, but you'll be the first to know when that becomes available!

Stay tuned for more information soon.
