Story Camp

Story Camp is a free three-day program that will run at State Library Victoria for young people from eligible schools in Greater Melbourne. During a four-hour period each day, participants will:

  • work with professional creatives on prose, illustrative and performative storytelling formats
  • hear guest speakers talk about their creative careers and share their knowledge
  • experience the State Library's facilities
  • develop their own skills and voice over the course of the camp.

Eligibility

To be eligible for Story Camp, your child's school needs to have a value below 1000 on the Index of Community Socio-Educational Advantage (ICSEA).

To check your school's ICSEA, visit the My School website and go to your school's profile page. You will find the ICSEA value in the 'Student background' section on the right of the screen. Participants must be aged between 12 and 15 years.
