This program will provide students with a deep dive into their inquiry topic. Students will have a tailored exploration of State Library Victoria’s catalogue and online databases specific to their inquiry. Throughout the session, they will be shown where to find high quality, reliable resources that will aid student research and support future studies.

If joining us in person, your workshop will also include a guided tour of the Library’s unique heritage spaces.

Students will:

  • Be guided on how to locate and use high-quality resources related to their inquiry topic
  • Practise searching and collating research material from the Library’s catalogue and databases
  • Gain an understanding of accurate referencing processes

Note: teachers can request one inquiry topic per session.

Funding opportunity for low-ICSEA schools

Schools with an ICSEA ranking below 1000 may be eligible for our Access Education Funding to support the cost of attending a facilitated program at State Library Victoria. Check your school’s ICSEA on the My School website. Contact the Education team at education@slv.vic.gov.au for more information on how to book Access funded programs.
