Latrobe Festival of Stories

Designed specifically for community groups prioritised in the council's Public Health and Wellbeing Plan – those who suffer feelings of isolation, such as older people, LGBTQI+ people, multicultural people, people with disabilities and young adults – the Latrobe Libraries' proof-of-concept project Latrobe Festival of Stories will see the library unearth the hidden voices of community and amplify their stories to the broader community via a main event held over two consecutive weekends in October 2023 (Mental Health Month).

In the lead up, feeder events will be offered by community partners such as Federation University, Charles Sturt University, other Gippsland libraries, Latrobe City primary schools, community groups, businesses and the council’s performing and visual arts teams.
