Example catalogue records

To find out who owns copyright in a work, look for the copyright statement on the work. If you cannot find the name of the copyright owner that way, check the record in the Library's catalogue.

The names of possible copyright owners and important copyright information are highlighted in blue in the examples below. Copyright owners are generally authors, illustrators, translators or publishers.

Example one – book
