State Library Victoria is open ANZAC Day, Thursday 25 April, from 10 am to 6 pm.

We've been actively digitising our collections since 1993. To date we've digitised more than 770,000 photographs, maps, historic pamphlets, glass plate negatives, rare artworks on paper, early Victorian newspapers and World War I Unit histories.

In order to meeting growing demand for online access (in 2018, the Library received over one million views of its online newspaper collection) we need your support to continue our priority program for digitisation of our collection – particularly the newspaper collections, with thousands of editions yet to be made available to the public.
