Watch Velvet, Iron, Ashes curator Carolyn Fraser and costume designer Annette Soumilas tell the story of the extraordinary costume worn by Jessie Clarke to Victoria's centenary celebrations of 1934 and 1935.

This unique outfit was designed by Thelma Thomas. It is the only known surviving costume from the centenary Pageant of Nations and is on display to the public for the first time as part of the free Velvet, Iron, Ashes exhibition in the Library's Victoria Gallery.
