Myer's seasonal and homemaker sales always created a buzz and there was often a queue waiting for the store to open. The store's large range of goods required rapid turnover, so Monday Star Bargains and Friday Bargains were important promotions. Even today, the annual Christmas stocktake sale still makes the news.
