Keep on writing: creative resources by Sue Dymoke
Time to get your thinking caps on!
Sue Dymoke, Melbourne UNESCO City of Literature Virtual Writer in Residence at State Library Victoria, has designed three activities to help inspire young minds to explore the Library's collections and stretch their writing muscles.
Warm up with a freewriting exercise before using items from the Library's collection to inspire new points of view and settings for your poems and stories.
The activities can be used by individuals and classes as a starting point for generating new writing. Each activity is perfect for young writers, teachers and families, and suitable for ages 8-14.
