Shortly after arriving in Australia, Dacre Stubbs established a commercial photographic studio in Kew, where his business prospered. Stubbs subsequently set up a studio in Elwood and another in South Melbourne under the name Photo & Design Group. His clients included Volkswagen, General Motors Holden, Commonwealth Sugar Refinery (CSR), Tupperware and Kodak.
