This summer State Library Victoria once again transforms into a creative hub for the Midsumma Festival – a celebration of queer culture, storytelling and community.
Across 2 and a half vibrant weeks, the Library will host an intergenerational program of events for adults, families and young people, co-curated with leading artists and performers from Melbourne’s LGBTQIA+ communities. From dazzling drag and after-hours dance floors to joyful family workshops, Midsumma at the Library is a proud expression of creativity, inclusion and belonging.

Rainbow Storytime
