170 years ago, State Library Victoria opened its doors with a collection designed to inform and educate Victorians. Since then, the 3846 original volumes have expanded to more than 6 million items.

In the VCES Research Masterclass, students will learn how to extend their research capabilities by using the Library’s collection.

Online lesson

Kick off the masterclass with a pre-recorded lesson you can do in the classroom, at your own pace. Throughout the session, students will be guided through State Library Victoria’s catalogue and online databases.

As they dive into the website, students will be shown how to spot high quality, reliable resources that will aid their research and support future studies.

The online lesson will be released on Monday 16 March at 8.30am.

Online Q&A

Once the lesson is completed, join us on 24 March for an interactive session where students can ask all their burning research questions to Library staff.

Submit questions ahead of time on a topic you are studying to get personalised support from the experts.

Make sure you book a spot to the online Q&A to receive a link to the online lesson.
