Learn the basic principles of family history research in this self-paced online course that explores the key resources available for researching Victorian family history. During this four-week course, the Library’s Family History team will equip you with the tools you need to discover your family history story.

Recommended for beginners.

How does it work?

Each week of the course you’ll receive an email with a link to a new online study module to be completed that week. Modules take around 1 to 2 hours to finish, but you can work through them at your own pace.

Where can I do the course?

You can access the course wherever you have a PC with an internet connection. If you don’t have one at home, you can use one here at State Library Victoria, or ask at your local public library.
