About this video

‘You’d be surprised at how many “here today, gone tomorrow” things we collect here at the Library,’ says Arts librarian Dermot McCaul.

There are vinyl records, posters, comics, press clippings, theatre programmes, political stickers – even badges. Why keep this stuff you may ask? Fortunately, ‘we keep it because most people don’t,’ Dermot explains.

Join him as he unearths some of the Library’s rare pop-culture gems from recent decades.
