Startspace is proud to announce the Lisa Ring and Family Scholarships, offering two 6-month bursaries to ambitious new founders looking to develop their knowledge and grow their ventures.

The Lisa Ring and Family Scholarships offer seed funding, coaching and support to new business founders in the very early stages of their business journey.

Lisa Ring and Family Scholarship recipients 2024

The 2024 scholarship recipients are:

• Dr Anushi Rajapaksa for her better home management of viral infections like influenza, COVID-19 and respiratory syncytial virus
• Edward Barraclough for his AI-driven, automated flight app for easier monitoring of livestock across all terrains.

About the scholarships

Lisa Ring and Family are passionate and committed to supporting new entrepreneurs and enabling their growth. The first Lisa Ring and Family Scholarships were awarded in 2022 following a generous donation from the family, which will allow for the scholarships to continue over the next four years.

Often, the available seed funding and support for startups target more established and fast-growing startups. The Lisa Ring and Family Scholarships provide support for founders who have a great business idea yet are still in the early stages of building their new business.

The scholarships are designed to help you advance your business to the next stage in your journey and give you confidence for future success.
