Plain English is the use of the right words to convey meaning in the clearest, simplest, shortest and most courteous way possible. Watch as students aged 15–18 years from government, Catholic and independent schools battle it out at the state final of the Plain English Speaking Awards (PESA).

PESA helps students build their confidence and improve their oral communication, speech writing and research skills by speaking to their peers about the topics they are passionate about. PESA is organised and run by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority.

An optional tour of the Library will run before the event at 9am, and a VCE research essentials workshop will take place afterwards at 2pm.

Registrations are now open.
