Maps document deep connections with people, places, and cultures and are a gateway to researching our history. Join Senior Librarian, Sarah Ryan, to learn about the riches of the Maps collection and how it can be used for local and family history research.
This presentation will showcase collection items such as parish plans that document land purchases from 1837 onwards, auction plans produced by real estate companies during the land boom of the 1880s and drainage plans for Melbourne’s sewerage system implemented in 1890.
