Join us across four entertaining and uniquely curated salons throughout 2023, featuring boundary-pushing artists, writers and thinkers. Enjoy drinks and an exclusive offering from the Library after sunset.

Our inaugural Salon will be an evening of exquisite performances of music from the baroque era, and vibrant conversations with Dr Erin Helyard, Artistic Director and co-founder of the celebrated Pinchgut Opera, and soprano Cathy-Di Zhang. Joining us to host the evening and facilitate unforgettable conversations and connections will be renowned writer, presenter and singer Sian Prior.

Heralded as ‘ebullient’ by the Daily Review and as a talent who unleashes musical direction with ‘the dramatic pace of a good thriller’ by the Financial Times – Helyard is not to be missed in this intimate experience where the stunning vocals of award-winning opera star Cathy-Di Zhang will be on full display.

Tickets are free for First Nations. Please contact [email protected] to organise your booking.

Light refreshments will be served.

About Salon After D’Arc

Salon After D'Arc celebrates two strong female forces and is proudly funded by the Helen Macpherson Smith Trust.

Named after the legendary heroine Jeanne D'Arc, whose statue has been anchored on the Library's forecourt since 1906, and honouring the legacy of philanthropist Helen Macpherson Smith, the series celebrates boldness, innovation and the courage to live according to your own values.

Salon After D’Arc welcomes the next chapter of Library supporters from the professional, creative, education and public sectors into conversation with today’s artists and thought leaders.
