Visit State Library Bricktoria in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere with a reduced sensory environment. This environment can make visiting our exhibition easier for autistic people and those who have other access requirements, together with family and friends.

What can visitors do:

  • Watch the giant LEGO® brick model of the Library be built live with reduced visitors.
  • Play with some LEGO® bricks and make your own creation.
  • Take part in building some tiles for the LEGO® brick mystery mosaic.
  • Take a break in our Chill Out Room, a designated quiet area with seating, tables and space for quiet activities.

A social script is available to download. It has more details and pictures in a story format on what to expect when visiting our low sensory State Library Bricktoria sessions.

Please view the sensory map for guidance on seating as well as high and low sensory areas in the Library.

This experience has been created in consultation with AMAZE.
