The 2022 federal election campaign should be the starting gun for the race to build a better Australia.

In this joint State Library Victoria and Grattan Institute event, Grattan’s experts will discuss the bold reforms Australia needs to build back better after the COVID recession. Drawing on Grattan’s 2022 Orange Book, the panel will map out a policy blueprint to reignite wages growth and boost Australians’ living standards.

Grattan’s CEO Danielle Wood will be joined by Grattan Program Directors Brendan Coates (Economic Policy), Marion Terrill (Transport and Cities), Tony Wood (Energy and Climate Change), and former Program Director Stephen Duckett (Health).

With only days until Australia votes, our experts will identify the policies that should have dominated the campaign. And they will answer your questions on what should be on the agenda of the next government, whether Coalition or Labor.

Please note, this event will be held in person and streamed online. View the reading list.
