Play Pod is the Library's program for children aged under eight years, packed with activities to read, create and play. With a new theme every season, Play Pod is always changing, fun and interactive, so children are free to explore and engage with the support of their parents and carers.

Herman and Rosie — from 1 December 2016 to 28 February 2017

Be swept away by the sweet sounds of jazz in New York City! Inspired by Gus Gordon’s Herman and Rosie, explore the hustle and bustle of the Big Apple, swing by the hotdog stand and experience this delightful tale of friendship and music. 

Where is the green sheep? — from 1 March to 6 June

If you were the green sheep, where would you hide? Inspired by Mem Fox and Judy Horacek’s Where is the green sheep?, discover the star sheep, the moon sheep, the car sheep and the train sheep – but most importantly, help us find the green sheep!

Join us for a party on 1 March to celebrate the launch of our Where is the green sheep? Play Pod theme!
