To mark the 60th anniversary of the 1956 Melbourne Olympics, come and discover the colourful history of a rare book created to launch Melbourne’s bid for the XVI Olympiad.

Only 12 of these special books with a lambswool cover were made and presented to the Olympic committee and King George VI. This book provides an insight into the first steps Melbourne took in its bid for the Olympics and how it presented itself to the world.
