Learn about the flea trapped in a medieval manuscript for 700 years until it was discovered by one of our conservators.

Explore the life of a book – from its construction in medieval Italy to its current home in 21st-century Australia.

Gain insight into the decisions and discoveries made by conservators whose work both preserves this text for future generations, and also tells us about something about the people who first encountered this book and the world it came from.

There will be an exclusive showing of the medieval manuscript and the flea after the discussion.
