If you love a story, you’ve come to the right place! Now in its 23rd successful year, National Simultaneous Storytime is an annual event where an Australian picture book is read simultaneously across the country.

Hosted in the beautiful Pauline Gandel Children’s Quarter, our Storytime sessions showcase classic stories and new works from Victorian and Australian authors – along with your favourite songs and rhymes. This year's book is The Speedy Sloth by Rebecca Young and Heath McKenzie.

This session is best suited for children under 5 years, and their parents/carers. Please note, a parent or carer must attend this event for the entire duration with their child/children.

Pauline Gandel Children's Quarter, supported by Gandel Foundation, is a purpose-built space for children and families to read, learn and play, with an associated program of activities.
