Great photography can hold up a mirror to the world, reflect our innermost thoughts and feelings, and transform unfamiliar sights into unforgettable icons.

Join our curators on a journey through the Library’s newest exhibition MIRROR: New views on photography, showcasing over 140 photographs from the State Collection.

Touching on the exhibition themes and creative process, the curators will highlight how images, words, performance, sound and music combine to produce new narratives inspired by our collection of photographs of Victorian people and places. The exhibition includes works by Rennie Ellis, Viva Gibb, Helmut Newton, Christos Tsiolkas, Clem Bastow and more.

Book your spot now and discover fascinating stories of Victoria through a contemporary lens.

The tour starts at the Russell Street Welcome Zone.
