Join us for a celebration of fashion, identity and self-expression in the LGBTQIA+ international student community.

Experiences of gender and sexuality vary significantly around the world, and moving to a new country can provide international students with the chance to discover themselves.

Delve into the challenges and opportunities of exploring your gender and sexuality across continents through the personal experiences from a panel of international students who’ve been there before.

Then head into a showroom filled with clothes where you can explore new outfits you might not usually wear and develop your own unique style and sense of expression.

Your host for the event, Feifei Liao, is the founder of Feifei Curiosity and is a multi-passionate and multi-disciplinary changemaker dedicated to championing inclusion, diversity and equity through creativity, art and curiosity.

Miranda Liu describes herself as compassionate, creative and logical. She works as a user experience designer in the field of Virtual Reality. She is a spiritual individual, and she tries to bring mindfulness into music through DJing, art through painting, crafts through tie-dyeing, and movement through 5 rhythm dancing. In her opinion, these fields are all connected, just like how everyone is connected.

Jessie Ji came to Melbourne in 2017 for her master’s degree in marketing communications and now works in a global advertising agency. As an introvert, she enjoys ‘solo’ events such as movies, reading, and wandering around the city. After years of exploration of her sexuality, she identifies herself as a romantic asexual.

Bingbo Wang is a marketer, a creative strategist and a multicultural journalist. In his over 5 years of experience in international marketing, he has created cultural-adaption campaigns for over 20 global brands. As a part-time model, Bingbo collaborated with local and global fashion photographers and walked for Melbourne Fashion Show 2019. With his enthusiasm for cross-cultural topics, he is always excited to witness every international individual’s journey of self-discovery.
