Hear from experts and see significant State Library books and artworks up close in these fascinating sessions.

Focus on fashion

Tuesday 2 June, 6pm

The Library's fashion collection includes books, clothing and accessories, pictures, eresources and magazines, from historic jewellery to contemporary fashion photographs and decades of Vogue magazines.

In this session the State Library's Katie Flack, expert on our fashion collection, presents a curated selection of colourful and curious pieces that trace the history of what we wear. Fashion designer Sharmaine Cornell of NMBQ will talk about her clothing range, which is inspired by the State Library's 'Press Dress'.
