State Library Victoria is the custodian of material that records and reflects Victoria’s diverse history and culture. The Library’s collections offer unexpected and unique insights from manuscripts, maps, photographs, prints and memorabilia.
Hosted by collection experts, Treasures of the Library delves into the Library’s collection to highlight some of its most fascinating and precious pieces.
The items on display will include the mourning brooch made from the hair of Miss Anne Drysdale (1853), a diary written by Chinese gold digger Jong Ah Siug about life on the goldfields (1866) and a poster of the Australian Labor Party's anti-conscription campaign (1916).
