We're excited to let you know we have partially re-opened our spaces and services.
Bookings to use spaces and services are available seven days a week, for either the morning (10am–1.30pm) or afternoon (2.30–6pm). A reduced number of seats are available to maintain safe physical distancing.
Find out below how to access collection items, book a space and use our assistive technology and public computers. For more details on this and on all our other services and spaces, please read our FAQ.
We are complying with Victorian health guidelines to protect everyone who comes through our doors. When you book, you'll be asked to agree to new terms and conditions of entry to ensure the health and safety of visitors and staff.
Changes planned from 18 January 2021
In anticipation of further easing of restrictions, we are preparing to take the next step in reopening and make additional COVID-safe spaces and services available at the Library.
From 18 January we are planning the following changes:
- You will no longer need to pre-book your visit or select a space. Simply register your details on arrival using your smart phone and the Victorian Government QR Code Service.
- You can enter any time between 10am to 6pm daily, subject to capacity. We will no longer hold morning and afternoon sessions.
- Open access collection browsing will be available. Accessing other collections and retrieval times will continue unchanged.
