About the workshop
Join contemporary artist and jeweller Emma Grace to make a found object mobile which tells the story of your summer!
In this fun, hands-on art workshop Emma will show you how to bring together small items collected over the summer holidays and turn them into a quirky and colourful mobile.
Collect bits and bobs leading up to the workshop – a ribbon from Christmas, a shell from the beach, a leaf from the bush – anything that is small and that you find interesting. You might want only a few things or you may want many. It is totally up to you!
To make your mobile you will need:
- One stick around 40-50cm long
- Yarn, cotton or string for hanging, preferably in multiple colours
- A range of small items collected over the summer eg. Gum nuts, leaves, shells, feathers, dried flowers, pieces of Christmas ribbon/wrapping, beads
Suitable for children ages 8–12.
