Have you ever been read a book… from space?!
The annual National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) is returning for its 21st year, but things will be a bit different this time around.
Children all over Australia are invited to tune in as Give me some space! by Philip Bunting is read by an astronaut from the International Space Station!
Join us in the Pauline Gandel Children’s Quarter at the Library for a space-themed Storytime event, where you’ll watch the reading live from space and then join in on songs, rhymes and craft activities presented by our storytellers.
About NSS
National Simultaneous Storytime is held annually by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA).
Every year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator, is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, pre-schools, childcare centres, family homes, bookshops and many other places around the country.
Pauline Gandel Children's Quarter, supported by Gandel Philanthropy, is a purpose-built space for children and families to read, learn and play, with an associated program of activities.
