State Library Victoria will be the 2016 hub for Melbourne Music Week, illuminating the city's world-renowned music scene!
Melbourne Music Week is a nine-day program dedicated to holding unique live music events in unexpected and iconic locations.
True to its reputation, Melbourne Music Week 2016 will open up the rarely-seen nooks and crannies, halls and hidden spaces within the Library – including the majestic, column-lined Queen's Hall and the renowned domed La Trobe Reading Room.
Enjoy amplified music inside the Library after hours, and free, all-ages performances, DJ sets and fresh food offerings from 10am to 10pm on the Library forecourt. In addition to live music, we're also hosting a special program of talks, discussions and viewings inspired by our vast music collection.
Melbourne Music Week will be held from 11 to 19 November 2016. The full program is available now, including a listing of events held at the Library. Tickets can be booked online or at the Melbourne Music Week ticket booth on the Library forecourt, open from 10am weekdays or midday on the weekend.
The Library is operating as usual for the duration of Melbourne Music Week, with no changes to services.
