Inspire primary students to become lifelong lovers of words, pictures and stories in Story Talks, where their favourite storytellers talk about their craft. Experience the magic of meeting them online during Term 1, and seeing them perform in our vibrant Library spaces later in 2021!

We are taking expressions of interest for our new Story Talks event program.

To be eligible, your school must have an ICSEA below 1000. Find your school's ICSEA ranking at the My School website.

Please email us at education@slv.vic.giv.au to register your interest.

Students will:

  • experience an interactive workshop with a popular age-appropriate author or illustrator
  • develop an appreciation for reading and storytelling for enjoyment
  • have their creativity ignited and minds opened to new possibilities in the art of storytelling
  • be inspired to read and write.

This program is made possible by the generous support of Gandel Philanthropy. Pauline Gandel Children’s Quarter, also supported by Gandel Philanthropy, is a purpose-built space for children and families to read, learn and play, with an associated program of activities.
