Vicfix is improving the searchability of digitised newspaper articles and making the hidden details of Victoria's rich history available for everyone.

About the Royal Brighton Yacht Club

The Royal Brighton Yacht Club was one of Melbourne's first sailing clubs, established in 1875. Since those early days, the RBYC's headquarters has grown from a small lean-to shed on the beach to today's large modern beachfront facility.

From past glories in racing regattas to stories of rescue patrols on Port Phillip Bay, historical Victorian newspapers reveal the hidden depths of Brighton's sailing history.
