The 2016 Margery C Ramsay Scholarship was awarded to Sarah Bingle from Casey-Cardinia Libraries for a project titled 'Strengthening the cultural identity of communities through libraries'.  Sarah's is the first scholarship proposal dedicated to strengthening libraries' connections with Indigenous communities.

The scholarship will support a number of initiatives that will greatly enhance the outreach work that Sarah is currently doing in a bi-cultural partnership to link Indigenous children in the Cranbourne area with their culture, to foster their sense of belonging, to develop their early year's literacy skills and connect them with their local libraries.
