Emerging Writer's Fellowship

In partnership with the Emerging Writers' Festival (EWF), the Emerging Writer's Fellowship will see an emerging writer spend up to three months working in a dedicated space in State Library Victoria, immersing themselves in the Library's collection as well as learning, developing and networking at the Emerging Writers' Festival.

The fellow will receive a $5000 grant to contribute towards travel costs and living expenses, a golden ticket to EWF and home-stay accommodation for some of their time in Melbourne. They will attend the Emerging Writers' Festival from 19 to 29 June 2019, and then spend up to three months following the festival working from the State Library.

Applicants from regional Victoria and interstate are strongly encouraged to apply.

For further information about the fellowship and how to apply, please visit the Emerging Writers' Festival website.

The Emerging Writer's Fellowship is proudly presented by EWF and State Library Victoria. The fellowship has been made possible with the generous support of the Hart Line Fund. The home-stay accommodation has been generously donated by Virginia Lovett and Rose Hiscock.
