Centenary of WWI Fellowship

Soldiers marching down Collins Street Melbourne during World War I

The Library offers a specialist fellowship to support applicants wanting to utilise the Library's collections to develop a project on a subject related to Victorians at home and/or abroad during the First World War (1914–18) and its immediate aftermath.

The Library's collections in this field include large numbers of unique diaries, correspondence, newspapers, photographs, ephemera and books.

The fellowship carries a grant of $15,000 and is for a period of three months full time, or longer if undertaken in a part-time capacity.

Please note: this fellowship is being offered for the final time in 2017–18. The project must explore an aspect of the Victorian experience of WWI.

Applications for the 2017–18 fellowship opened on Friday 27 January and close on Sunday 23 April 2017.

If you have specific questions about the Centenary of WWI Fellowship requirements or selection process, contact Gail Schmidt at fellows@slv.vic.gov.au or on 03 8664 7335.
