Race around the world with two intrepid navigators, Ferdinand Magellan and Francis Drake.

This year is the 500th anniversary of Portuguese explorer Magellan’s circumnavigation of the globe – but because he died on the voyage some dispute whether his journey constitutes a true circumnavigation, and give the honour instead to Drake, Queen Elizabeth I’s romantic naval hero.

Explore the claims of both men, and hear swashbuckling tales of their daring 16th-century voyages around the globe.
