Join medieval literature expert Professor Stephanie Trigg (University of Melbourne) as she introduces us to the life and language of Geoffrey Chaucer (d. 1400), author of The Canterbury Tales and other iconic works.

A poet, philosopher, and civil servant, Chaucer invigorated English as a literary language in the multilingual context of fourteenth-century London.

Enjoy the display of beautiful editions from the 16th to the 20th centuries, while hearing Chaucer’s language brought to life.
