Australian-made animation first graced our screens 100 years ago. Relax in our custom-made Retro Animation Lounge and celebrate the centenary as we roll out classics, old favourites and lost treasures on the big screen. Immerse yourself in the artisty and irreverence of animation over four days at the State Library.

This fantastic romp through the history of animation has been curated by 2014 Creative Fellow Malcolm Turner as part of his research into the centenary of Australian animation. Turner is the co-founder and director of the Melbourne International Animation Festival, co-director of the London International Animation Festival, and the animation programmer for the New Zealand Film Festival and Sydney Film Festival.
