About this video

It’s been a year to celebrate at State Library Victoria – here are some of our highlights.

In 2017 we revealed the designs for our Vision 2020 redevelopment, raised $27.7 million to help fund the project, and started construction.

We created art history with independent art marketplace Redbubble, won an RACV Victorian cultural tourism award and even got our own train station!

Along the way, our visitors made us the busiest state library in Australia.

We added more than 28,000 items to our collection, including amazing works from Rick Amor and Rennie Ellis, and answered more than 200,000 of your questions.

We want to thank you for your support this year. Thank you for researching, writing and daydreaming in our reading rooms, browsing our catalogue, donating to our appeal, attending our events and sitting on our lawn.
