Time of Trial
This a is a shout out to Michael Pryor, author of the ‘Laws of Magic’ series. Time of Trial, the fourth book, has just landed in the shops. And sports a rather flattering dedication to the Centre for Youth Literature and its staff. So thanks, Michael, that’s the first time we have had a salute in that way.
Michael has been the ‘who you gonna call’ guy for us over the years, hosting and presenting on more than a few occasions. He’s always prepared, always finds a way to get his ideas across to audiences of all ages, and always has interesting things to say. Last year he turned writer full-time, having had a successful career in educational and digital publishing. This is good news for Michael as his output is stronger and better than ever. The success of the ‘Laws of Magic’ series alone shows that.
Time of Trial will be launched officially by Paula Kelly, Reader Development and Onsite Learning Manager (inc Centre for Youth Literature). Unfortunately I will be in Perth the weekend of the launch, so unable to attend.But best wishes to Michael and thanks for the great books and wonderful work over the years. Here’s to many more.
