Victorian Premier’s Literary Award Winner
something in the world called love, the novel by Sue Saliba, has taken out the Victorian Premier’s Literary Award Prize for Young Adult Fiction. The awards were announced last night in Melbourne.
Congratulations, Sue! I have known Sue for quite a few years, and a more dedicated and committed writer you would be hard to find. What’s that saying about hard work and good luck?

For all the news on other winners, see the Age story here.
This is the last time the State Library of Victoria will manage the awards. The new Centre for Books, Writing and Ideas will take them on for future years.

It’s sad (but not surprising, alas) that the YA prize doesn’t even rate a cursory mention in the article.
Well done, Sue.
