Lili Wilkinson, editor of www.insideadog.com.au, presents Blogging for writers: the how, what, why and when of blogging.
This hands-on seminar-workshop will introduce writers to the world of blogging Technological confidence necessary: none. Blogging is a great way to build and maintain a fan-base, and communicate with your readers. It’s also very useful way to stay in touch with other people in the children’s and youth literature community. Places are limited.
You will learn to
-set up your blog
-managing your blog
-manage security issues (including comments and spam)
-create content
-tips and techniques
-the why of blogging
-the best YA and children’s lit blogs
-setting up an RSS aggregator to help you stay up-to-date
The workshop is recommended for writers and for anyone interested in staying in touch online. Cost is $20 per person, with a maximum of twelve people per session.
